1. Summary
On-Device AI is a utilities app for iPhone. With your permission, it can scan your system photo library to help free storage, surface privacy-related photos, and support safety-related tools. Cleanup classification and privacy-label matching are designed to run on your device using local analysis, so your photo-library content is not uploaded to our servers for those features.
The current reviewed build does not require an account and does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. The only system permission currently requested for core media features is photo-library access. Certain optional safety tools may make network requests when you start them.
2. Information We Process

3. Photo Library Access
On-Device AI requests read and write photo-library access so it can scan media, show previews, maintain a pending trash list, restore items from that list, and request system deletion for items you confirm. If you decline or limit access, Clean and Privacy features may be unavailable or incomplete. You can change photo permissions in iOS Settings.
Deleting media through the app changes your system photo library, subject to Apple Photos behavior, Recently Deleted recovery windows, iCloud Photos sync settings, and your device backups. Review selections carefully before confirming deletion.
4. On-Device Analysis
Cleanup scanning uses on-device image and video analysis to identify candidates such as near-duplicate media, large videos, screenshots, blurry photos, and Live Photos. Privacy scanning uses on-device machine-learning models and, where needed, on-device text or face signals to assign privacy-related labels for review.
These features are designed to process media on your device. For cleanup classification and privacy-label matching, the app analyzes photos and videos locally and does not upload your photo-library content to our servers for that analysis. The app may create temporary thumbnails, embeddings, scan caches, and local model working files needed for performance. Those working materials remain on your device. Cloud-only library items that are not available locally may be skipped until they can be loaded on the device.
The on-device visual analysis used for privacy labeling is based on an Apple Machine Learning Research model package adapted for local Core ML inference in the app. Source materials and research references related to this family of models are published by Apple Machine Learning Research, including:

Using a local model means the privacy-label and cleanup-analysis steps described above are performed on the device rather than by sending your library images to an On-Device AI backend for classification. Optional network features described later in this policy, such as Identity Leak Detection or Network Security Check, are separate from this local photo analysis and only run when you start them.
On-device analysis can produce false positives or incomplete results. Labels and cleanup suggestions are assistive tools, not a guarantee that every sensitive or reclaimable item will be found.
5. Network Features
Identity Leak Detection
If you choose to run Identity Leak Detection, the email address you enter is sent to a third-party public breach-lookup service so the app can display known public breach records associated with that address. Do not submit an email address if you do not want that service to receive it. The current app design does not store that email as an account credential.
Network Security Check
Network Security Check may perform connectivity and configuration tests from your device, including checks related to reachability, Wi-Fi use, TLS or DNS behavior, and proxy settings. These tests may generate ordinary network traffic to complete the scan.
What the app currently does not do
The reviewed build does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, App Tracking Transparency prompts, or account sign-in. Cleanup and privacy-library analysis are not designed as cloud photo-upload features.
6. How We Use Information
- Provide cleanup, privacy review, safety checks, previews, keep lists, and pending-trash workflows.
- Store local scan results and preferences so the app can resume work after relaunch.
- Show approximate storage and battery indicators in the interface.
- Respond to support and privacy requests you send by email.
- Operate, secure, and maintain this legal website.
- Comply with applicable law and protect the service against abuse or misuse.
7. Storage and Retention
On your device
Analysis caches, keep lists, pending trash records, decrypted model working files, and related preferences are stored in local app storage on your device. They remain there until you clear them in the app where available, delete the app, or iOS removes app data according to system behavior. Some model working files are prepared for local reuse and may be excluded from ordinary device backups where the app sets that flag.
System photo library
Photos and videos remain in your system photo library under your device and Apple Photos settings. Removing the app does not by itself delete media from the system library. A confirmed delete action performed through the app can remove selected assets from the library, subject to Apple Photos recovery and sync behavior.
Identity-leak lookups
Email addresses entered for Identity Leak Detection are processed for the lookup you request. The third-party breach-lookup service handles the request under its own practices. Support emails you send to us may be retained as long as needed to respond and maintain ordinary business records.
Website logs
Website technical logs are retained by the hosting provider for the period needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
8. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not currently sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the product or website, including:
- Apple system frameworks and services that provide photo-library access, device APIs, and App Store distribution.
- A public breach-lookup service, only when you start Identity Leak Detection with an email address.
- Website hosting and content-delivery providers that serve this legal site and related security logs.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate protections where required.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by On-Device AI. Local model working files and selected local records may use device file protection where implemented. No method of electronic storage or transmission is free from risk. Please avoid submitting information you are not comfortable processing for the feature you choose to use.
10. International Processing
If you use Identity Leak Detection or visit this website, related request data may be processed in countries or regions different from where you live, depending on the service providers involved. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
11. Children
On-Device AI is not directed to children under 13. The reviewed build does not include a child-directed experience or account registration for children. If you believe a child provided personal information through a support email or an optional lookup, contact us and we will review the request.
12. Your Choices and Rights
- You can allow, limit, or later change photo-library permission in iOS Settings.
- You can choose which media to keep, move to pending trash, restore, or delete.
- You can avoid Identity Leak Detection if you do not want to submit an email address for lookup.
- You can delete the app to remove local app state from the device, subject to iOS behavior and backups.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or more information about personal data. Contact us at support@todaynow.uk to make a request.
13. Subscription Notices
The app interface may display subscription or free-trial messaging. Purchase handling, if enabled in a released build, is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process payment and subscription account data under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, our processing practices change, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. If a material change affects how we process your information, we will provide notice in a reasonable way, such as through the app or the App Store listing where appropriate.
